Horticultural Grit

Horticultural grit is a coarse grade aggregate and a must-have for all gardeners. It is quartz gravel that has a mixture of different colours including white, brown and pink. A common use for horticultural grit is being mixed with soil to help improve drainage. It is the ideal choice for growing cacti or alpines where drier conditions are required. Due to the range of coloured stones, horticultural grit looks brilliant when wet or dry and it can be used for decorative purposes such as plant pot top decoration or laid next to water features and ponds.
